Not seen too many cake photos this year, so, wifey made this the other day, a coffee sponge.
You're right: a, there haven't many cake photos lately, and, b, that looks a splendid coffee sponge. Your wife is clearly kind and loving!

Re: Little Gun

That does look rather fun, David. What a great job you've done with that. Is that one and a half crew members in the background?

Re: 23HF14

Looking back through some of the photos of the rebuild, I came across one of the gearbox which I thought I would post as a warning to others not to make the same mistake as me which caused me so much angst until Neil suggested I check it. IF you fit the transfer lever like this then IT WILL jump out...

Re: 23HF14

I will pay you for it Fred, so yes please, will help the going backwards budget no end. Nope! You're certainly not paying for it. Given the cost of the fuel tap switches, I'm still in hock to you! Fiddling today. Trawling through Mark's book last night made me realise that I had made a mistake. I h...

Re: 23HF14

Does this mean we won't be loosing your inputs then Fred :D X! Will have to arrange a meet up for me to grab that seat base if I may. Well, I shall end the 23 14 thread once I have it on the road as it won't then be a project. So, I hope that, from time to time, it will appear in the "What have you...

Re: War in the Vale...Evesham

I can't remember when I sent my entry so I am waiting to hear back if I am acceptable or not. It would be nice think that would be a similar limit to: the numbers of J**ps, the number of German re-enactors, ladies with tattoos re-enacting 1940 dancing, WW2 music that was something other than when G...

Re: 23HF14

Have you started looking for your next project ? Thanks, Richard and Stu and, in response to the above... I was discussing the same point with my wife the other day. She suggested that I'd need a simpler, but equally engrossing, project to follow on, prior to making her a shepherd's hut (which, she...

Re: MOT.

Here’s a conundrum. My log book says my lightweight was manufactured in 1982 and registered in 1991. However I have now got the RLC archive that shows the army took delivery of it in December 1978. So this means that this year it will be 40 years old and won’t need MOT any more. But I have to prove...

Re: MOT rule changes

It says 40 years from when it was registered or manufactured. Anyone know if I will be ok for no MOT or whether I'll have to get something changed with the DVLA? You are correct, it does say registration or date of manufacture and, regarding your question, this is also from the same source: "What y...
