Hiya Bob! :D ,

That valve body looks better for a lick of paint mate. I take it there was no signs of cracking/splitting starting on the diaphragm?

Hello,

After treatment, the upper ECV disc of my LWT rusted ...
Re-disassembly and a passage of fuel resistant varnish on it limited the oxidation ...

Regards.

I have a new diaphragm, together with hoses which I got from Blanchard's last year, the old one is a bit thin where the disc clamps down on it and starting to split around the edges in a couple of places.

Luckily mine was okay when I stripped the valve for a refurb, so it didn't need replacing.

New hoses fitted, refurbed all the old clips..,

I left the disc unpainted as I've managed to get a good finish to it and for future servicing. To protect it I've used waxoyl.

Before the vent panel came the installation of the missing Larkspur ATU cables so here we go.
First of all I must thank Denis Stanley (52HG52) for his help and patience in providing pictures and drawings of his vehicle which in retaining it's original 'as built' configuration was an invaluable reference for this project.
My vehicle is a '79 build and as such came out the factory configured for both outgoing Larkspur and incoming Clansman radio systems. At some point, I would guess following casting; the Larkspur ATU cables and nearly all associated fittings were removed leaving only the sockets on the seat bulkhead:

I had always intended to reinstate them and fortuitously back in September '23 along came Denis.
More to follow in the next installment..........

Everything else I already had in my stash. The leads themselves I found NOS at Craddock's, the plug stowage brackets came from Howard (aka Landylees) of Series Parts
