Hi Neil

Yes, it's been a funny few months. . . I have touched SP16, drove a different pre-pro and avoided scratching a Ken Wheelwright S1. . .all within a space of a few days.

What could push that high even further? Well, today I have been cleaning around 60 years of, erm, 'cake' shall we call it, from an early S2 gearbox. Wonderful. The highs and lows of being a small scale trader
1966 Civilian 109 - feeling rejected
1968 Rover 1 - 72 FG 01 - keeping warm
1968 Rover 1 - 37 FG 46 - SOLD!
1969 Rover 1 - 42 FG 80 - 1 gone so another sourced!
1970 Rover 11 - 41 AM 30 - RAF 109 24v GS - back outside, too many Lightweights...
1980 S3 109 FFR - 21 HG 29 - Earning its keep.

Hi Gavin,

Certainly more interesting than my daily work sorting out problems on the newer JLR offerings. A man can get bored of doing forced regeneration drives and removing blocked DPF's from Ingenium powered motors. As a plus side I have managed to get some tinkering time on a Lightweight at work this week, so it isn't all bad.

I see that the vehicle that started this thread has apparently sold.

Hi
I possible have one of the 6 protype Lightweights
Registered 1966 LWW536D
Chassis number 24127165c
Body type on logbook LIGHT 4X4 UTILITY
Got no history just logbook and old MOT certificates
Can anyone shed any light on whether it is one of the 6.
Been heavily modified for off road so hard to tell.
Thanks Nick

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks to be a chassis number for a civilian IIA. https://www.clifton.nl/index.html?calvin.html
Do you have a military reg?

Hi
No just logbook and MOTs. Strange that it has LIGHT 4X4 on V5, registered June 1966

Hi Nick,

The chassis number you have isn't one of the six pre production chassis numbers listed.

It is in the range for a RHD Home Market 88" IIA.

One of mine is registered as a LIGHT 4X4 UTILITY as it's body type, the other as a PICK UP.
