Re: Reborn 27GJ77
Hello Alex,
Yes, indeed Securons.
The longest available for inertia models, the standard for the lap dedicated to the central seat.
The references are at the workshop and I am not there this morning.
See: https://seriesforever.com/fr/securite/1 ... uleur.html
Choose a model with the cable connecting the closure and not a strap that will rub on the edge of the hole in the backrest.
No inertia model for the central seat, I fear too much bending of the round tube in the upper part in the event of an impact and it is not possible for me to install lower fixings on the frame; on the other hand possible for the outer belts.
Well ... given the pace of occupancy of the central headquarters, we do at least ...
Do not forget to manufacture the spacer piece in the mudguard and connecting the sole of this arch to the frame at the level of the fuel tank.
In short, it's not over ...
Regards.

Re: Reborn 27GJ77
Hello Gentlemen,
Some news of the work in progress.
The backing of the seat belts is painted, three generous coats of expoxy paint so loaded that the satin black has become shiny ...
Multiple blank mounts for the tests were useful, no worries in the final assembly, everything assembles in good correspondence. Reassured and relieved ...
The generator panel is attached to a support directly integrated into the arch; the shuntbox is fixed to the backrest using design brackets close to the origin.
All this because the presence of this hoop requires slight displacement of the electrical elements that I did not want to position under the frame ...
The belts are directly attached to the frame using specific parts, the lap belt also uses these brackets. I had a really bad life on this one, but everything works "tip-top"; safety first.
Two new DPM respirator bags will be attached to this hoop in which the "little bazaar" will be found, useful for future walks ...
I keep you informed
Regards.

Re: Reborn 27GJ77
Good evening sirs,
And it continues, the week having been very productive ...
Installation of the tilt from AWT: all this is posed without major difficulties.
Okay… now I have to wait for the canvas to loosen up a bit, it's very (very) thick and not always easy to put in place precisely but the manufacturing quality is there! Lined seams, finished edges, internal reinforcements same as the originals, good lengths for rop, etc.
There you go, a happy man tonight ...
For next week, the goal is to complete the battery bin.
Good evening to all.

Hiya Loulou,
Fantastic workmanship on the seatbelt frame:D
The tilt will bed in when you get it out in the rain and sun
Keep the updates coming, your vehicle looks a gem.

Re: Reborn 27GJ77
Good evening sirs,
I offer you all my best wishes on the occasion of this New Year; May 2022 be peaceful and beneficial to you.
French MoT (Contrôle Technique Automobile) went successfully this afternoon.
- Zero defects
- Pollution control "flush with the buttocks"
- A warning for slightly cracked windshield
In short, a happy man and a pleasantly surprised controller.
I even had to get this gentleman out of the LWT…
Best regards

Re: Reborn 27GJ77
Hello Gentlemen,
Usually the week between Christmas and New Years is a bit soft ...
So I took the opportunity to make a radiator panel, it's a seasonal product ...
The recipe is as follows:
- An LWT
- An old rotten little army tent (the French two-seater F1 has a very light canvas and therefore easy to sew)
- A (very-very) low-end chest-rig, airsoft for example, to recover the straps and buckles. It will cost you less than buckles and straps at a backpacking store.
- A little string
- A thin plastic sheet, the one used to cover the living room furniture when repainting the ceiling
- Velcro-scratch and other odds and ends collected on the F1 tent
- Two spools of Gütermann wire reference M782 CA02776 Color 676
- Strong needles for jeans fabric
- A fabric chalk to trace your cuts
- A little luck and a lot of patience
You can also replace the chest-rig buckles with canvas loops also recovered from the tent ...
In short, we get by on the cheap ...
An important element:
- Either you start with Madame a Blitzkrieg three months before and based on candlelit dinners, surprise invitations to restaurants, cinema or theater, bouquet of flowers when returning from the supermarket, or even vacuuming ... Then you arrive with everything your mess on the arms by specifying that you will surely not succeed ...
- Either you are playful and unconscious and you start (I decline all responsibility if you break Madame's sewing machine…
). Personally, I am playful and unconscious and the machine has struggled a little
...
The process:
- The plastic film must be sandwiched between the two rectangular pieces of the main canvas: a layer of canvas + the plastic film + a layer of canvas = it goes well because it is thin
- Now also make a seam grid in order to immobilize the film between the two canvases; you will then cut out the central hole and the finishing hems
- Then make the central shutter on the same principle
- Velcro on both sides allows fine adjustment of the radiator occulation
- Install all your buckles, straps and velcro before; once everything is finished you sew the central flap, it is less inconvenient to pass on either side of the needle foot of the machine
- The cord is there to avoid a possible tear at the four corners if you tighten the middle straps too tightly
- The three top fixings are important, they prevent the canvas from yawning if it is a little wet
- Of course we calculate the height of the shutter to open the hood
It is a basic principle, you add, modify or remove the fixings to the grid according to what you have on hand (nothing is taken from Madame's sewing box…).
There you go, good luck to all the unconscious ...

Good stuff!
Fundamentally you are saying that bribery is the solution to dealing with SWMBO. I work on the premise of just not getting caught, but were I to even consider touching the sewing machine, I doubt I would survive another day.
Lovely job by the way - also in the true spirit of upcycling or is it recycling?
