12v GS engine bay

Hello all,

Does anyone have photographs of a complete engine bay for a 12v 2.25 petrol GS that I can use for reference? Or point me in the direction of an engineering drawing or cutaway of a complete engine bay layout for a lightweight.

As I have mentioned before, my lightweight was stripped by someone else and everything randomly chucked in boxes without any photos or labelling, so anything that helps me visually identify parts and locations alongside my parts catalogue/user manual/series workshop manual would be a great help.

Any photos from all angles would be brilliant, I know there will be plenty on the forum, but I don’t know if there is a gallery overview or an option to search photos quickly.

Hi,

I don't believe there is a library collecting the photos on the forum.
On the other hand, you enter in google the mention "engine compartment for a land rover light 12v 2.25 gasoline GS" ou "compartiment moteur pour un land rover light 12v 2.25 essence GS" and… it falls like rain in the countryside in autumn.

Thank you both, I have been doing image searches and found them to be a useful guide, but of course they do vary and I don’t know what is the correct, or original set up is.

Looloo, your quote about rain falling in autumn is appropriate for this morning in Cornwall!

I’d forgotten about that website stanfonj, I’ll save the photos to my Land Rover album for reference. They seem to have covered most angles in detail which is what I need.

These may help, but note that I have an additional fuse box on the bulkhead and electronic ignition so some of the wiring will not be as standard.

It’s like that in the summer Looloo, as long as it doesn’t rain on both days. The rest of the time it’s ‘liquid sunshine’.

Thanks for those photos they’ll be a real help, especially the top view. Your engine bay looks superb, really neat and clearly the result of lots of time and effort.

My tin of recon blue arrived just now from Paint Man with a Christmas bonus - a large chocolate reindeer!
