So you eneded up with an FFR after all. Nice 2a LtWt. Demobbed in 74 ?

I thought the same as you, wanting something that didn't need working on - but of course there are always little jobs. Good to know there is oil in it !

So. How do you go about getting an age related reg?

When military vehicles were sold off at auction it was up to the new owner to register it with the DVLC/DVLA. Some got a plate matching the year of DVLA registration, some got a 'Q' plate which denotes the year of manufacture is unknown.

Best (and safest) route - unless anyone here can specificaly help, is to contact the L/R Series 2 club. They are approved by the DVLA to deal with Series L/R registration queeries and the registration guy works closely with the DVLA. They make a small charge which is discounted for S2 club members.

Dealing with the DVLA yourself can be fraught with problems depending on the individual you end up with on your case and can backfire if any problems arrise.
