38FG93

Post by Bigdon1981 » Tue Oct 07, 2025 5:35 pm

Good evening!

I hope everyone is well, I’ve not been on for ages due to loads of other things! 19FM37 is in good health although only doing 100miles or so a year.

Anyway, I have just bought 38FG93😁, a 1969 series 2a Lightweight, to keep 19FM37 company.
Needs a full rebuild, bulkhead, vent panel, chassis, the lot, currently sporting a very seized v8, square tyres, a truck cab and one piece screen.
Has been off the road since 1992😳 and for the most part has been sat in a hedge.
Have got my RAF 110 in bits for a chassis and paint job at the moment so will be making a start once that’s done ( maybe a Suzuki samurai before too)
I am sure I will be after advice with it as it’s pretty early, missing loads of original bits too🙄
Hopefully enclosed a pic of current progress on the 110!
Picks of the new addition to follow

Have now got the B card, shows it was with 16 and 12 Royal Artillery until 72 then Ashchurch until sold.
Was in Northern Ireland for a little bit until Ashchurch, 12 months ish before 19FM37 went out there .All being well im collecting next week, got to pin a friend down with his trailer! More pics will follow once I’ve got her here!

Cheers

Hi all,
She has arrived😁
Chassis, bulkhead and vent panel are rotten as I thought, tyres were inflated when I went to see it a couple of weeks back, 3 still are…. One exploded just after I winched it out😂 luckily I took 4 wheels and tyres, hammers etc.
Doors are custom made, really not great! One side has had the upper side cut so it fits🤬
Brakes weren’t seized 😳
Served with 16 and 12 Royal artillery until 1972 and is number 700.
Got to finish the 110 now and then the fun begins!

Cheers
