Good evening, I'm a new owner of a 1974 landrover lightweight.
I am in the process of doing some restoration work, can anyone help me by telling me how to remove the headlights and then installing new ones?
Thank you
Philip

Okay. Fess up. Who accidentally edited my post instead of modifying it for a quote, and deleted all the information I had typed?

You're a bad, bad, man Graham.
Philip,
If you're trying to remove military pattern headlights from the vehicle, push them in against the spring pressure on the mounting/adjustment screws at the 3, 12 and 9 o'clock positions, and twist them anticlockwise until the slots allow the screw heads to pass though the holes.
If it has civilian lights fitted you need to undo the securing screw in the bezel at the 3 o'clock position, the gentle twist the headlight clockwise so that the tabs at the 6 and 9 o'clock positions slide out of the slots in the adjustment screw heads.
If you need to strip them down to change the lenses let us know and we can post up a 'how to'.
