Height issue

Festive greetings to all,
Been massively busy with house move and Christmas so not been tinkering!

I have a problem with 19fm37, it’s too tall!

Moved back to mums ( she’s moved to a bungalow before the jokes start) and the garage door is really low! So all framework and roof off to get her in.

Running parabolics and 7.50s, how much would it drop if I could find some 6.50s ( or similar) and fit standard springs?
Would be very tempted with a swap for standard springs if anyone wants them!

Old garage door was taller years ago when I first bought her but can’t get that size now ( if I could great but it’s not been fitted long!)

Any ideas on 6.50s? Really want it to at least look right ish!
Really miss my old workshop!

The good book gives the height of the vehicle, on 6.50's as being 76 3/4", (1.94 m.), unladen.

I wish I could get any of my Rovers into the garage without taking them apart.

......but you'll most likely be a couple of inches taller than that with parabolics. Good luck with fitting it in! Of course there's always letting the tyres down to a few psi and carefully trundling it in.......every little helps!

Just a thought, I hope your driveway & garage floor are on the same level. If there is a slope near the garage entrance then the last axle to enter may raise the effective height of the vehicle.

In the past I have fallen foul of carparks that have a sloped entrance yet my vehicle height was under the displayed carpark height limit.

I had to raise the height of my door opening and make a door to fit

I had to remove the Up & Over door and replace with a Roller door.

Then built a new pole barn to take the 101 and the Lightweight.

Ground is nearly level luckily, might try standard springs first and see what happens.

Wish putting a new building up was an option, new house is listed and in a conservation area

May have found some 650s, Nader by Coker tyres in the USA, look good but not the cheapest and none available over here at the mo!

Will be a good used set of parabolic springs in the for sale section in the spring!

Many years ago with my 2A Lwt I just used to let some air out of the rear tyres to get it in the garage and blow them up again once out before going for a run.
Worked for me, cheap and cheerful.
