Chaps,
As you can tell I'm really focusing on the mission critical stuff here.
Can the assembled wisdom advise me as to the correct (from the factory) washer bottle for a '75 vintage FFR (mounted on the inside of the vent panel)? I'm guessing that it is the TRICO square-ish bottle with all the corners chopped off and the electric pump fitted in the screw-on cap.
Am I close?
Which washer bottle?
Which washer bottle?
Hugo.

Re: Which washer bottle?
Hi Hugo,
I believe that the Trico bottle is the correct one for that vintage vehicle. Having said that, my '73 FFR had a CVR(T) screenwash bag mounted in the engine bay above the left footwell, and the washer pump mounted where the washer resevoir would normally be found. The strange thing is that I have seen two others with this arrangement.
Regards,

Re: Which washer bottle?
You will probably find that the original one failed and the MOD just replaced it with whatever was commercially available.

Re: Which washer bottle?
Thanks chaps.
What irks is that the enterprising engineer bent the bracket to make the slightly wider aftermarket bottle fit. There are undoubtedly worse offences to engineering on my wagon but I have to look at this one all the time I'm driving.
I think I'll aim for factory original in preference to REME authentic but it's good to know that there are options.
Cheers.
