Hello everyone.
Does anyone have a wiper motor like this one?
On the left of the picture, coming through the bulkhead grommet is a Light Green/Black cable that I think is not meant to come through here and perhaps goes to the washer motor? At the bottom centre is a Green/White cable that I am not sure about. To the right of the Green/White cable is a Black/Brown heavier cable with a broken end that starts where I am pointing.
Can someone please direct me regarding the proper wiring?
Many thanks
Alex

Hi Alex
Off the washer motor loom, you should have one that goes to the washer pump, and an earth that connects to the windscreen (so, you can remove quickly when lowering the screen, so if you accidentally turn on the wipers, you don't break the motor...
Light Green/Black cable looks like the washer pump - depends where you have that - for example, my washer pump and reservoir are both [incorrectly] under the bonnet where the toolbox should go.
You should have an earthing point on the screen, but the black / brown I expect is the earth that breaks the circuit.
If you're wipers aren't working, I'd earth the black/brown cable, see if it springs into life.

Hi Alex,
I must have missed your post or would have replied sooner. Ludo is correct in saying that the Black wire from the plug that has the Black/Brown wire connected to it is the earth wire. Connect that to the body, or the screen frame where originally connected, and the wipers should work.
Regards,
