Rear Suspension

In the next month or two I need to replace the rear suspension. I am going to go with leaf springs again but unsure as to which ones to get. I do use the Landie for work so it does carry weight and go off road.

Currently it has 11 leaf springs which have worked fine but now need replacing. Looking at paddocks they have two types Uk made ones and OEM ones

So does anyone have recommendations for them?

Also do i need heavy duty shocks or standard?

Just to add your confusion, Jones Springs remanufacture springs to OEM spec and Land Rover have been using them for their Series 1 rebuilds. I couldn't find Lightweight springs on their site, but I believe they have access to Land Rover specs so would be possible but look a bit pricey.

Hmm are the Santana ones better than the normal 11 leaf?

Jones springs may be dearer but the quality will be worlds appart and have a good reputation.
Lots of parts are being labeled oem but are britpart and seriously lacking in any form of quality .

Sorry I have no real knowledge of Santana springs, but echo comments we Jones Springs - Land Rover are trusting them to remake springs for their very expensive "Reborn" Series 1 Landys so can't be bad!

No knowledge of the santana ones and quality of shitpart varies so much others might have been lucky.
Heres the quote from paddocks and it mentions santana springs. You will have to make your own mind up . cost or a trusted manufacturer its hard one.

For many years Land Rover road springs have been difficult to obtain to the correct OE specification. To remedy this, Britpart commissioned the same Spanish factory that produces our Santana parabolic springs to reproduce a comprehensive range of springs for Land Rover Series vehicles. The springs are constructed from the correct grade alloy steel 60SiCr8, heat treated consisting of hardening & tempering and set as Land Rover engineers specified and therefore will give years of service with the correct ride comfort.

Just bought and fitted a set of Jones springs all round for a civilian 1961 2A. Sits absolutely perfectly - client really happy with the result. They weren't significantly more expensive than the after market copies and didn't take too long to get made.
Shouldn't be a problem for them to make up a set of LWT ones, but avoid ones from the usual suspects - that's why I had to replace all four on this vehicle - didn't last more than 3 years and sat completely skew.
