Yep! Another seller who is absolutely on the ball! You beat me to it, I was about to post about this. It really annoys me that it is so easy to sell, for a fat profit, bits of tin which will enable others to clone vehicles, avoid, in many cases, paying tax due to the country and adding another fake vehicle to the nation's historic collection. I do wish it were possible to highlight these to DVLA so that the numbers could be cancelled when spotted. I have looked for a way of contacting them but their automatic system doesn't provide for any sort of free format communication with them. Really annoying. And eBay aren't interested.
Hurumph!

I couldn't resist it... Sent the following to the seller:

Those are for a 109 Series 3 my friend and not a Lightweight...
You might wish to revise your advert...
Is it legal to sell the identity of a vehicle without the vehicle? If it isn't, it certainly should be!

I notice it’s been edited. Now it’s a 109 FFR.

To give them credit, they did acknowledge my message and say thanks for pointing this out.

Does anybody what type of vehicle this 109 was?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/land-rover-l ... Sw-F5gMiHh

The data plate indicates VAN General Service FFR 3/4T 4x4 Rover Series 3, is this normal I would have expected it to be 'TRUCK' not VAN?
Also the asset code 2617 0783 doesn't appear to match with the codes I have listed.

The plate appears genuine any ideas or is my information incorrect?

2617 0783 was Van General Service EW/Y FFR 3/4T 109 wb FFR RHD, so assume Electronic Warfare of some sort? Paint may be covering the EW/Y part.

This is the next vehicle in the sequence.

But they lose marks in the paint your vehicle competition, on several counts!
