Well after what seems like a lifetime, we are finally in the last throws of moving house, final move on Friday.
Went to start the 101 and apart from a wet floor (petrol leak) it would not start, no amount of cajoling would get it to go, so has been transported to a Norfolk garage to be improved. The lightweight on the other hand started and raring to go, but we had her transported, don't think 45/50mph on motorways for nearly 150 miles would be much fun, or legal.
So beware you residents of Norfolk, there's another military Land Rover about the county.

Re: On the Move
Unfortunately Jiml, I have been stopped, once in a Series 1, on route home from Southampton on M3, second in a Saracen on M25, third in CMP Ford F22 FGT on M11 and just for the fun of it, was stopped many times in Belgium and Holland in Saracen, Dingo and Ford F22.
All is fine if you can maintain an average of 50mph, but there are times when this just cannot be done. I once drove a lightweight to Poland/Ukraine and back again, all above an average 50mph, so I know it can be done, and it was more or less empty. This time the lightweight was a bit loaded, spare wheel & tyre, Clansman radio gear, some garage bits, oh and a complete Rover V8 engine. The back was quite full (stuffed) as was the front passenger seat and well. Just made more sense to transport it.
