Great forum you have!

After decades of Series 1s (including a 1954 86" that was owned by the RA Hunt at Salisbury back in the late fifties), I bought my first Lightweight. It's a 1981 LHD that was converted to 12v by two-owners-back. I'm just looking into its history; there might be a connection to the British training area in Suffield, Alberta here in Canada - https://www.army.mod.uk/deployments/canada/

I'll be asking a lot of questions because there is still plenty of work to be done on my Lightweight before it's on the road again! Attached are some pictures of it being worked on in the previous owner's garage.

I have some fond memories of times spent in Canada. and quite a few hazy ones of time spent away from the prairie in Medicine Hat.

First question: I have the Illustrated Parts Catalogue and the User Manual. Are there no figures/drawings of how the body panels go together?

No, unfortunately not. From what I can tell, 24v bits are really hard to come by here on the West Coast of Canada (even though there are a number of Lightweights that were left here after their service at the British base in Alberta). From what I've been told, the 24v parts from my truck were sold on to another Lightweight owner here who needed them to restore/keep his truck 24v. Strangely enough, the only thing FFR I have is the Unitary Radio Station which I will never need!
