Hello from Poldark country

Hello All, I've been hanging around since early August when I bought my 1980 Series3 lightweight. She runs quite well, looks ok at a distance but as with many of these trucks the bulkhead is a little rotten and at least one of the outriggers is suspect. Took her out green laning this weekend in St Hilary. She performed really well.

As requested, more pics below. I bought 19HF74 early last month, she's FFR and was largely unmolested. This is my third series LR, the other two being some thirty years ago. I have pondered whether to keep her "original" but I wanted a Land Rover for green laning, the fact that she's a lightweight is sort of incidental. I have always thought that the Lightweight was the best looking series. I did have a very brief time in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (Rags and Oil) but was medically discharged following a serious back injury. That was in 1984, when Lightweights were common sights. I won't be doing any serious mods, so no V8, coil springs or similar. But I do want her to be lane worthy and reliable.

Its just a bit of a tidy up that took longer than expected. No where near perfect but I intend to use it. There is a series 2 club meet every 2nd Monday of the month at 7pm Victoria Inn Roche, I have been to a couple and they are a nice lot.
