Just out for a run in the countryside. came across this, it was in a field last year but farmer got it out. looks like its going to be scrapped off.

A 90 mile trip taking in Castle Combe car boot sale, a run along a fosseway green lane, a trip to the Cotswold show and on the way home found a reasonable ford to drive through!

Time for a sit down whilst watching the Grand Prix and listening to the cricket.

The silver lining to the shearing of the compensator shaft of the LWB is that I can un-cannibalise the starter solenoid and run 'GF59 for a while. Today it got its first run for a long while.

A commute to the office and a lunchtime trip to the tyre shop to get the tyre put back on the freshly de-rusted, rust prevetatived, rust primered and painted wheel. Fingers crossed it might last 2 seasons before the rust spots appear again.

Finished off the front end re-furb yesterday which has included overhaul of the headlights and fitting of FV lenses, as well as a lot of respraying, including the bonnet. Gone is the UJ and chalk panel (as 48 Brigade was not air portable, its only air asset being Bell 205 Huey's of 7 Regt AAC).
