I love the attention to detail, Bob - especially the correct number of rivets for the number plate - these things make all the difference. I'm still toying with the idea of getting military plates for mine. And the front panel looks great as well.

Re: What have you done to or with your LWT today??
Well after years of suffering fuel fumes wafting through the garage from the LWT I decided to investigate and was a amazed to find the original cork sealing ring still fitted to the tank filler groove...so I hooked it out and replaced with new square section rubber seal...I know this is a huge debate area but I also purchased a nos cork sealing gasket for the cap..soak d for 24 hours in water in gently offered it into the cap recess...cap seems to fit snugly with no noticeable fumes...my only concern is that I've "stifled " the breather system and thus will get a vacuum in the tank after a long journey..?
I have the cap with a he Spring/ball type breather with two securing lugs on the inner rim....we shall see.

Gave em both a good clean, had a pair of wagtails nesting in the wheel arch of 05kd65 but they've gone now and left me with a load of bird mites to deal with! All sorted now courtesy of the steam cleaner...

Now if you were serious about summer, you'd have the tilt and hoops off altogether! I put about 30 miles on mine today - the longest journey it has made since the rebuild.
