Poor Landrover
Hi,
Is anybody watching tonight's episode of 'Goblin Works Garage' on Quest?
They are about to destroy a lovely series Landy!

Re: Poor Landrover
I will not give an opinion, but, why and how is it worth £26k?

Well I didn't see the programme, did they do the standard "these things are built for off road bit" where they drive around a dry field to prove it?
A little digging shows this was not an existing garage and was put together just to make the show
If anyone is interested in any of the vehicles from the show

Re: Poor Landrover
Well there vehicle and whatnot, but apart from the front axle and suspension it seems standard so it's really not a hotrod, and considering it was sold at the end of the programme, it's funny how one dealer has it and a few other vehicles from the show on its website

Re: Poor Landrover
Even though I watch it, I'm not a fan of this show.
It's all a bit scripted and Americanised.
In the first episode (MK2 Escort), they crashed the poor thing into some rocks before they started!

Imagine the great British classic that clarkson and his cronies have destroyed over the years...let alone the dozen or so 101's that were butchered to make Judge dread...although some were returned to original they've all suffered for the sake of "good screen time". I'm still cheesed off with James May for chuckin away the original box from an original Hornby train set he got from auction..just to be arrogant.
We've all seen classic minis being bastardised with fat tyres and Corbin seats...why can't people leave things alone.
The worst of all is that abomination of a LWT that has been nailed to a coil sprung monster truck chassis that frequents the shows and gets more " military show pictures" than the club gets..????? It's a weird world.

Hear hear Sidders! People should need a licence to own a Land Rover!Sidders101 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 4:39 pmImagine the great British classic that clarkson and his cronies have destroyed over the years...let alone the dozen or so 101's that were butchered to make Judge dread...although some were returned to original they've all suffered for the sake of "good screen time". Ok we will gloss over the fact that that abomination is a discovery Bob tail, with some spare body panels and a bulk head hung off of it,i know the owner unlike some he never says it's anything it isn'tHear hear Sidders! People should need a licence to own a Land Rover
1)How many lightweights in the club are completely original?
2) How far from original should a vehicle owner be aloud to modify there property?
3) We portray military vehicles on the club stand, so how far off from original specifications for a half ton military landrover should be aloud onto the club stand?
