The price of LWTs is increasing as we speak.
There are many absolutely fantastic examples of original GS's and FFR's. Many of you have yours on here
We also have some members with tremendous hybrids
We then have the ultra rares like TOW, Bog Frogs and Para Recce's.
Where will it end!

No doubt from the pics that what we see has been done well.
Still £15k is a bit steep I think.
However the word restoration is a bit of a fib.
I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure they never came out of the factory or were modded in service to that spec.

nor would it be 'tax exempt' as the chassis, engine and gearbox have changed.
but it has been done well and will make someone a great toy.

Well, that's one way to ruin a Lwt, on the plus side makes my 11A a little rarer!

Yeh looks good,but a cut down range rover chassis,an engine from god knows what,and a lwt body.15k for a ringer and still claims to be tax exempt.People like this will end up spoiling the tax exempt law for the genuine early vehicle owner's.I feel sorry for the new owner who get's pulled and has the vehicle pounded for non payment of the road fund.You might not think so but we are being watched!

Agreed. When money's tight in the Treasury (when isn't it?) they don't need much of an excuse to withdraw concessions like this. People abusing the system is just the ammunition that will get used to do away with it.
If folks want to build customs - fine by me. But if you can afford 15 grand then it is foolish to try and cheat the taxman out of £200 a year.

Yes, I agree, mine als well.....! But ... some people are doing really strange things with their Lightweights....
