Re: Whats your MPG
Mmmm..... how to vote?
V8 with a proper rear silencer fitted, 22-23 MPG. With a virtually straight through exhaust using a 300Tdi 110 tailpipe box as a silencer, 18 MPG.
As I don't intend to re-fit the oil drum sized silencer again I guess my vote goes to 18-20 MPG.
I've only driven the Recce off the car trailer and onto the drive so will have to wait to work out it's MPG.

Re: Whats your MPG
Hi to all,
Around town, going to work and going out for a "blast" with Alfie James, I regularly get a return of 17/18 m.p.g. with "Sarge".
However on a good run, i.e. Beltring last year, "Sarge" loaded up and pulling "Private" the widetrack, also loaded up to the gills, 22.8 m.p.g.
On a long run as above, I don't look at the speedo, but maintaining 45/50 m.p.h. I listen to the engine sound and "featherfoot" the accelerator.
Engine standard, Webber carb with a KN filter, free wheeling hubs on 7.50 x 16s.
Regards, Norman.

Re: Whats your MPG
That's very reasonable mpg. What weight do you think you had in the back?landymad wrote:Oh and I had a 12x12, 9x9, 9x7 2x dining shelters, my display kit (inc GPMG’s) and sleeping equipment all in the back.
Good thread
Get about 15 in town but average 20's on a run.
