This type of radio was used by the SAS during ‘Op Nimrod’ (The Iranian Embassy siege) which took place from 30 April to 5 May 1980.

It came with a standard 'fist-mike' as shown in the picture, but during the siege, the radio would have been paired with a ‘Storno’ PTT (Press-To-Transmit), earpiece and throat mike.

The silver disc at the front is the volume control.

I have a charger and parts of another radio in a box somewhere, so will see if I can bring it to life when I find them.

Would like to find a ‘Storno’ PTT (Press-To-Transmit) and earpiece for this, i have a throat mike. Oh need a radio case/holster as well.

Got most of the other equipment to go with this for a fair representation of the 'Op Nimrod' kit.
