Still not sure, I don't really want to pay the postage so I was hoping to get some at one of the shows, maybe Bath and West will be the lucky ace.

Stil got some work to do on the mounts but that will be relativly easy just sanding away the pits.

Looks good.

Are you going to return the numberplate light to its correct position and remove the additional plate??

Keep it up.

Regards

Indeed I am, now I have your site to refer to Dave I will be trying to get it right.

I need to have some pre-2001 style plates made and I need to find the clip that holds the numberplate to the tailgate, then I need to wire up the respective cables...

As it's a removable part I'm not too concerned at the moment and will concentrate on getting it painted and all the pioneer fixings sorted out, then it will be number plate fettling.

I also need to find some nice Union Jacks to go on the left front/rear, I have concidered finding metal ones and riveting them, but maybe thats overkill.

Just been doing some work on my tailgate and have now got it to the point where it needs spraying. I have 5L of NATO Green, a spray gun and all the bits, now all I need to know is what thinner to use, at what ratio etc. I seem to remember 5% and white spirits, but I would love some advice.

I really want to get this finished before Stoneleigh. Help!

Never mind!

I just called the paint supplier/manufacturer and they have confirmed up to 5% white spirits which is brilliant I can get that anywhere. All I need now: some protective masks.

Lets talk Number plates instead...

Hi Cam,

To be honest, i'm not keen on either and I think it's to do with the black border around the edge of the plate. The pressed letters look nice on the old black & silver plates, but I prefer a smooth finish for the yellow/white plates.

I suppose there's the raised plastic letters version as well. I'm not keen on those either :(

Just my humble opinion though :|

You could always be naughty and go for a black & silver one

Now you mention it your right it doesn't look too great. Those are both the pre 2001 style letters on embossed metal. I could sand off the black edge I suppose.
