People to work on old Land Rovers

Afternoon all
I want to get mine sorted, back on the road and shifted over to Wales to stop it getting vandalised and for the life of me I can't find anyone willing to work on it.
It's not a money issue, it's not an expectation issue. Everyone I speak to asks for a list of work to be emailed over and then either point blank says no or massively over quotes me for parts or work and these are people who say they do the work I need doing such as chassis repairs.
When I say over quote we talking things like a Turners unleaded head or Ashcroft high ratio box, quoting more than they charge or telling me I don't have a big enough budget when I suggest a loose budget and say if it goes over its fine.
I aways offer to pay for work as it's done, pay for parts when they are ordered and I always make it clear I don't have a time scale, that if it takes several months thats fine as I can't even move it at the moment.
So what am I doing wrong here, why does no one want to work on my Lightweight?
Does anyone know anyone in South Wales near Cardiff or Newport who will work on old Land Rovers or anyone anywhere else?
