Hello

after nearly 35 years I have a the age of 64 finally realized a dream and own a lightweight.

it is I am told its a bit special (but ant they all) being a FFR winterised version, in a previous life some one has done a bit of a hatchet job on some of the electrics,
they have converted only the ignition system to 12 vols (why) the rest of the vehicle is 24 volts,
so to the question
can any one help with the wiring diagram for the 2 batteries located in the rear , the current wiring is a bit suspect and I would like to put it back to close as original as possible and to be honest a bit safer
many thanks
Ps it is my intention to put ignition system back to 24v

I have never seen a specific wiring diagram for the Winterised Lightweights. That's not to say there isn't such a thing. And, I'm unsure of the routing of the cables to each side battery box. There were a couple of Winterised vehicles on here in various states in the past, maybe their owners will see your post an can offer up some advice or pictures. The main vehicle wiring will be as for a standard FFR of the age, just with longer main battery cables.

Many wiring diagrams to suit various ages of Lightweight can be found here.

And there's a fair bit of information in our reference section on the forum.
