Lightweight Data Label/Tags

Post by Gyrojon » Mon Nov 11, 2024 5:40 pm

Hi all, its those winter nights and I am slowly getting our Landy together. Having installed a nice shiny new bulkhead from those lovely Irish people, I am trying to establish where the data platre should go. I have 4 data plates, Chassis Number, No1, Transfer gears plate, No 2, A Tyre life plate No 3 and a Warning Side level plug plate No 4 I know where I removed these from but looking at various images on lie there seems to be a lot of variation. Mine is a Series llA and the Negative Earth Plate on most pictures I see place this below the LHS Grab Handle. On my Landy I had the Tyre plate 3 and Side plug plate on the bulkhead near the Steerig Column. But where does the Chassis plate go, some images show it in the Engine Bay and others in the Cab?
I would appreciate any comments as to where they "SHOULD" go and mine where pop riveted onto the bulhead - was that correct?
Thanks for any advice

I thought No 2 went on the radiator panel by the side of the bonnet catch and No 3 went on the gearbox tunnel. No 1 under the grab handle to cover the hole for left hand drive
