Hi Everyone.
Just bought my first S3 FFR. 44GF92
Its not perfect or original but it's pretty clean.
First job is to fix the many gearbox/transfer leaks. How many of these can be done in situ?
Engine is mint, still 24v with everything running tip top.
Took it to Notts classic car show yesterday and got plenty of admiring comments.
Will no doubt be on here for advice so thanks in advance.
Mark.

Re: Hello, new S3 FFR owner.
Hi Mark,
Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing the pic of the lightweight, it looks a nice one. We do like piccies we do.
Most leaks on the gearbox and transfer box can be sorted in situ from underneath, or with the battery box tray/gearbox tunnel removed for access from the top. The only ones that require the gearbox out, (or the seatbox removed), are if the O-ring seals on the selector shafts are letting oil leak past, as you need to take the gearbox top cover off, and the selector rods out, to do them properly.
Regards,

Welcome
Was that at Thoresby? Good to see a Lightweight there if it was, I would have gone myself but I’m currently in France!
Best regards
