square feeling wheel

Hi Everyone, Hope all are well. I hope you guys can help with some advice, I have a strange feeling when driving that one of the wheels is square?? I have jacked it up and nothing seems loose,proshafts do not seem to be loose and not much play in the joints, wheels have been balanced and have swoped spare wheel around. I think the clue maybe that it is more/very prominent when driving really slow. Not so noticable at higher speeds but still anoying that something is wrong.

Assuming tyre pressures are ok, have you checked the behaviour of the shock absorbers & their mountings, integrity of springs & their mountings?
Just a few thoughts that come to mind, but there will be many more suggestions to come no doubt.

Thanks for the reply. tires are new and correct pressures and supension I hope was checked on recent MOT. but I have checked them and do not seem to be overworn or damaged. Could a prop shaft or dammaged diff cause these symptoms.

My thoughts:
Partially seized prop shaft universal joint - the only way to check is to remove it and check it on the bench.
Is it more obvious turning or in a straight line? - Possible half shaft universal joint issue, but rare.
Axle windup - stuck in four wheel drive?
Physical tyre structural problem? Don't assume that because they are new that they are all good.
Have the tyres bedded in yet? It takes time for the carcass to find its form on the road.

Thanks diffwhine. I will take of propshafts and check. It does not get driven very much but over weekend will give it a better run. Thanks for advice on new tires will use vehicle more often to bed in tires I will report back with results.

Hi Everone, I think this problem has been resolved buy either driving in 4x4 to remove axel wind up or replacing a hub oil seal that was pushed in to far and adjusted bearings and re grease. Would recommend a thermal camera as a top tool tip as it took seconds to find glowing hot wheel & temp.
