So I am in the process of putting it back to twin fuel tanks and have a few question hopefully you can all help me with.
Does anyone know the length of the fuel pipes from tank to tap (Series 3) parts 577529 and 577530 ?
If these don't fit (No idea what has been done to mine) can anyone recommend pipe at fittings to use? Such as copper pipe, rigid plastic or flexible etc

Hi Dave,
These figures are approximate as I only did a rough measure with a tape measure. The right hand pipe, 577529, is 47cm from end to end. The left hand pipe, 577530, is 121cm from end to end. The metal pipes at the fuel tap end stand up by 5cm from their end to the top of their 90 degree bend.
If you have the end fittings you should be able to use any fuel suitable nylon, plain rubber or braided hose on them.

If using rubber fuel hose, without going old school, 6mm ID hose will do it IIRC.

Hello,
Naturally a fuel-resistant hose.
It is wise to prepare the passage and fixing of the pipes, the electrical cables of the gauges and the rocker valve with the seat box removed from the vehicle, all upside down.
Otherwise, you need princess fingers to hold the clamps, screws and nuts in the inside corner...

I've been using 'SAE J30 R9 5.6mm' rubber hose for fuel and not had any problems with internal damage due to ethanol.
