Which Shocks with Parabolics?

My Series 3 Lightweight is fitted with Parabolics, but standard shocks. I don't think they extend enough to allow for the Parabolics to reach maximum extension (I've taken the Check Straps off for the same reason). Long travel shocks are available but about £200 for a set. I'm wondering whether Disco or Defender shocks would do the job cheaper, although as I remember Disco 1 shocks are eyelet at the top and pin at the bottom, whereas I need eyelet top and bottom. I'm sure other folk will have solved this problem. Also any experience using Castor Correction Plates with Parabolics (https://www.dls-uk.co.uk/default/leaf-s ... m-pin.html). Lots of people seem to manage without them.

I use rocky mountain parabolics springd on my lightweight
The head of the center spin is too short to fit the castor correction plate : you put 3 washers under the head and it’s ok
I use procomps shocks es3000 for the front and koni at rear.
