Fabricating my own complete chassis (civvi S3)

Well, the ball is already rolling on this one, I've got the 2mm plate for the main chassis beams, the cost so far is £120 for 4x 1x3m plates, my brother is the fabricator, and has made some amazing pieces, including a single sided paddock stand for a VFR using a Tamiya model kit paddock stand from a RC30 kit as a pattern! As well as fabricating and welding on rear cross members, outriggers and dumb irons! Anyway the next step is to guillotine some of the plate for the top and bottom of the beams and some of the sections on the sides, I've got two old chassis to take measurements from and a plan of the chassis I found on the web, we will be using the same thickness plate as on the old chassis, I'll be adding some pictures as I go along.

Hi, I met a couple of you at the war and peace show, at the forum stand and spoke about the history of my Royal Navy lightweight, it was very nice to speak to you, Neil I missed you again! Problem is I go on Fridays, I'll try and do a Saturday next year.
just an update, I'm waiting on a gilloteen to become free at a friends works to cut the plate to the right size, I'm stripping the body of a chassis that's had the hangers go through the bottom, our intension is to built the chassis beams on one of these old beams that's had no previous work done on it so I'm hoping is straight.

All the main plates are now cut, the only parts I have bought in is the front steering crossmember.

Just tried to put up a couple of pictures but it's saying the file is too big, I'm using an ipad, any ideas how to resize?
Today, we cut the complete left beam out, cleaned the outside off so it was a flat beam which gave us a pattern to work over. Sean

Today, we made the first two of the four side rails, made up from seven sections, laid down on top of the old beam.
