At first I hadn't spotted the 101's and thought you were referring to the semi naked squaddies! (sorry Sid!)
Quick question, and one that nagged me at W&P but forgot to ask..
Why are the Lightweight mounted cable cutters significantly taller than say one fitted to a ww2 jeep? Is it in case some of the occupants were standing in the back, or did they just want to be sure that they caught all of them?

Is that a regular tow ball with a cover on it or is it a pintle hook? The res makes it hard to tell..

That is a standard front mounted Dixon bate NATO hitch...usually only fitted to Royal Navy vehicles.Although not exclusively.
Over to Hibbo for the wire cutter answer....aaaaaaaand..........Cue.!
