Re: What have you done to or with your LWT today??
Today I've made the most of the nice weather and being stuck at home on this bank holiday!
I refurbed a spare windscreen back in the winter,blasted,2k painted, new glass and seals, seemed a good time to dig it out and fit it.
Everything went on ok,even managed to remove my 'club sticker'and refit it
.
The old screen is being stripped down, blasted, primed and off to Neil for his recce.
Now time for a beer!
Stay safe everyone

Thanks Rod!
I'll owe you a couple of those until we meet up again.
Happy to see you managed to transfer the sticker over.

Well I also seemed to get a few jobs done. Wasn't expecting to do half of them but it all worked out in the end.

Not today but being as it was roasting yesterday me and son managed to fit the heater in as with mine restored ( 1970 2a civil) the restored replacement bulkhead was built using an early 2a bottom half with a later 2a top half which meant the hols for the heater was only there for the early type round heater and mine was the later flat type heater so had to drill fresh hols in the bulkhead, anyway it's all fitted and proud to say after leaving the engine to run for at least 1/2 hour ( 200tdi ) it was really toastie and can say it's the first time I've had a series landy with a decent heater, roll on winter

As some of us are have some enforced free time ,I thought it was about time I removed the civilian spare wheel mount.
a past owner had fitted it in the centre of the bonnet so you cant open the bonnet before it hit the vent panel .
Managed to find one that needed a new mounting plate and bolts and some bonnet staples.
Had to fill some large holes left by the wheel mounting bolts that protruded through the bonnet and respray .
Just need the strap and its ready for the next outing when things have calmed down.
