That's a common fitment. I'd advise using a two pin system rather than a single pin. Not really so much for strength - more to keep it more secure to prevent rattles.

The biggest headache with using a Dixon Bate slider is that there is always some thieving toe rag who will have it way and then flog it on eBay. Best kept in the vehicle strapped down securely when not needed. I've lost three so far of my own and two of LR owned vehicles and its getting a bit tiresome. Considering sitting on my tailgate with a 12 bore and solving the problem that way...
