windshield bay seal
windshield bay seal
Hello everyone. The restoration of my Lightweight is progressing well. However, I'm stuck on a seal that I can't find anywhere. So I thought I'd ask fellow enthusiasts who have surely encountered the same problem. I'm looking for the seal on each side of the windshield, the one that slides into a groove. Thank you for your help.
Re: windshield bay seal
The part number you need is 346395.

Re: windshield bay seal
I have a note that you can buy the same profile from Seals Direct part number ATJ1929 but I haven't ordered any yet so can not confirm if this is correct.

Re: windshield bay seal
Hi Richard,
Certainly cheaper for a metre length from there than two original ones would be, and the dimensions look about right from memory. Both my windscreen frames have the 'newer' type of seal ,the same style as the rest of the door seals, and I only have a squashed vent panel seal to compare to at present, as not near the Lightweight with the new seals on to compare against that. Thanks for sharing the link.

Re: windshield bay seal
Thanks for the link. I'm going to order two and I'll give feedback on the quality and suitability.
Re: windshield bay seal
I fitted some from seals direct and they were perfect.

Re: windshield bay seal
Hello everyone, I'm restoring my toy for grown-ups. I've reached the doors and the seals. The seals do have part numbers, but they're sold with their supports and are therefore quite expensive. Do you have an equivalent replacement part number? Thank you for your help. (message with Google translation)
Re: windshield bay seal
I bought two lots of complete seal assemblies years ago when they were cheaper. But, I think others have used this with success.
