Malvern

Well, Malvern turned out to be quite a good day, though I didn't buy anything more than a sandwich. Kevin's (v8power) store was a treasure trove for Rover 1 owners with some real gems including 2 galv'd vent panels, some genuine NOS wings, front panel and grille... lots of lovely stuff. Otherwise, you had to look hard for Lightweight bits (or Series 2 & 3 stuff for that matter) As coilers and Disco 1,2,3 & 4 age, so their parts are beginning to dominate. Most of the other stuff was for off-roading, though it was good to see Undercover Covers there, Wright's fixings, the people who remake wheels and knobs, lots of tools and tyres (but no 6.50x16 Hi Miler Xtragrips sadly!

Car parking was the other side of the road in a large fiels with a dodgy, almost saturated surface. Every set of wheels left tyre marks, but that didn't stop the pillocks (there are always some) treating the place as a "pay and play" site, forgetting that not everyone there was driving a 4x4 - so one or two cars struggled to get out at the end.

Everything was outside with many attendees pre-booking and using e-tickets and the NHS app to scan their presence. If you didn't scan they didn't bother to take a name and address. There were three or four hot food stands set up and an outside eating area with bench-tables and the loos were open. It didn't rain, it was reasonably warm and not too blowy. So... rather good. I didn't bump into anyone I knew this time and, with my phone on 1% after doing the scan (my charging cable is defunct) I wasn't able to contact or be contacted.

So... we can look forward to Newbury next!

I would have liked to have gone, as not been to Malvern for a while, but life got in the way.
