What have you done to or with your LWT today??
Re: What have you done to or with your LWT today??
Stencilled the chalk numbers and tyre pressures on today... nicked the idea of using yellow from (I think) either James or Martins LWT from W&P!
Stencils bought off ebay and Tamiya acrylic paint.

Ah! Vent seals. I bought some that were supposed to fit the LWT and they don't. They are not even the same profile and they are ever so slightly longer. Anyone know where I can get the genuine article please? The ones available online all seem to be the same as the ones I bought. I ended up refitting the old crusty and cracking seal until I can get the correct replacements.

there are 3 types of vent seals.....one for series vehicles and 2 types for lightweights.......one is fatter than the other...its the thin type you need.
where to get them..?? best to phone the distributors and specify on the phone which type you require...have the measurements of the vent handy to confirm...try someone like Keith Gott as he knows what he's talking about.

Thanks Sidders. At least I now know there are several different sorts available. Got to admit I wasn't entirely certain they were right when they arrived but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as I hadn't removed the ones in the LWT. At least now I have an option for obtaining the correct ones.

I reckon that stands out really well. Nice job. You'll be starting a trend next.

Not me TH! The trendsetter is whoever owns this LWT. Seeing as my GS lost its identity courtesy of the PO many years ago I can go a bit mad. But I will try and keep it as is and avoid the temptation of hanging loads of semi related crap on it!

Morning,
See attached photo for two different styles of vent seal - the correct one on the left is MRC2913 which I got from Blanchards a few years ago (they swapped the wrong one for a correct one so I have a matching pair).
