Finally got around to sorting out the non working heater. Thanks to eagle eyed Fred I acquired a replacement heater box complete with matrix, swapped over the motor to still find it is not working grrrrr. Checked the wiring, all seemed fine, test ran the motor on the batteries (24 volt needed), still nothing, double checked the soldered joints, all good, then checked the resistors or what ever they are called, hmmmm, nothing there at all.
Last resort, dig into the spares department, find a replacement motor (24 volt again), test it and it works, fit that into the heater box, fix heater box back into place, motor doesn't work, off with the whole thing again, well almost off, just loosened the instrument panel screws, and hey presto it works, tighten up the screws and it doesn't. Seems the rotatory shaft is a fraction longer on this motor.
All up and running now, but only a single speed available, which seems super fast, great because you need all the fan umph you can get, top off water level, start the lwt up and run until engine reaches normal running temperature, and hey presto, super hot air, yes gents hot air blows out of the screen vents, result
Now all I need is the windscreen sealant to arrive. Last attempt resulted in more rain coming in than was staying outside
I swapped my extra grips over for my winter 205-18's.Dont want to wear my extra grips out over the winter,the bikes won't be used much now so the lightweight is my only transport to work.
