It looks clean but the description doesn't really say that much has been done to restore it. I tried the link for further info and it just goes back to the same site.

It was fully stripped down, and totally restored, reusing all the serviceable parts,after they had been checked and refurbed, and renewing unserviceable parts with nos genuine Land Rover stock. I have seen the vehicle in the flesh.

Blanchards know what these go for and it is the equivalent of a new car. Think about what newish Land Rovers go for with thinner aluminium and thinner chassis steel and this is 'in context'. To be honest, I don't know why so many are critical of this high price as I have owned many LR products and the reason I own a lightweight is that I think it is the best. Series ones are going for silly money and I would have a lightweight over a series one any day... Just my view. Ed

Everyone is entitled to there view Ed, but that is 10-15k more than most other dealers have been selling restored Lwts. I understand they are a business and they obviously want to make as much money as possible.

I guess it can only be good for the overall prices if companies are selling for higher prices.

There are other issues though as more Lwts get exported and I even know someone who bought one just to mothball, with no intention of ever using it. It will be a shame if they all end up be worth so much that the genuine enthusiast end up selling them.
