David when I had a Dutch LtWt I could never find a diagram. Although I can help you with the generator panel & low fuel indicators.

Somewhere I have diagram for a Dutch ambulance & that surprised me as that is 24v & used the same charging system as in LtWt. The diagram came from a Dutch site so it is likely there may be a LtWt diagram in there. So I would do some searches for Dutch Land Rover clubs.

Thank you for the reply.

It is not a desperate requirement for what is not working on it at the moment but I thought it might be handy to have one. So I will brush up on some Dutch and go searching!

Yes a very sound idea. Even if you do get the diagram watch out for the purple wire that is the low fuel warning circuit. It is meant to come up from each fuel tank to trigger the purple/blue warning light. But on mine the wire was cut but the warning light still worked when either was low!

It had been modified with some sort of Lucas voltage detector behind the dash that sensed the supply to the fuel gauge & then triggered the bulb. I'm sure this was an in-service mod as it had only done 23km since rebuild.

That tin box in the engine bay houses the CAV voltage regulator module, the same module is in a CVR(T) !

Clive, thank you for the info, I am sure a lot of parts are interchangeable, if you know what they were used on.

If it helps anyone else I have found this site which seems to have the military manual for Dutch Lightweight's and other Land Rovers.

I am downloading the files at the moment, so lets hope there is a wiring diagram in them! However they are all in Dutch so google translate is getting a bit of use.

Hi David,

Unfortunately there aren't any wiring diagrams relative to your vehicle on the site.

There are some of Clive's diagrams featured on there.

Regards, Norman.

Norman

Thank you for these and I think it will help.

I can find the heater motor circuit which I was after but it has three, so I suppose that may be different on the Ambulance's

Thanks

David

Hi David,

In the ambulance there are two heaters, front and rear, numbers 125F and 125R on the wiring diagram.

On your piccies the side/flasher lamps appear to me as being "add ons", possibly fitted after arrival with the Dutch Forces, as with the rear light units and the side reflectors.

You may find the Dutch forces may have made some "in house" modifications.

Any chance of a piccie of the dash?, I may be able to ascertain the nearest wiring harness for it for you to work on.

Regards, Norman.

Norman

The vehicle is not at home but when I get the dash out I will take some images.

I have found this article about the Dutch vehicles which explains some of the differences
