Another toy to play with !

Tell us about any of your non-Land Rover projects here. These may be military or non-military, motorbikes, cars, lorries, planes etc. It's interesting to see what others have in their collections and what they are working on besides their Land Rover(s).

Hi Martin,

Looks like you have found a super 101 there. I saw the original ad and thought it looked like a nice example. Looking forward to seeing some more detailed pics once back.

Cracking deal on the shipping as well. It cost me £300 to move my latest Landy purchase just half way across England......but it does weigh over 3000 Kgs, so found this limited the transport options a little and stopped me using my own trailer due to the weight.

Well the 101 has left Belfast on my friends 90 called Terry and is going to his fathers workshop near Five mile town where new batteries will be fitted and the brakes bled and tested .One of the conditions of the haulage is that it must be able to start and drive easily onto the car transporter. The haulage is a very good deal because the artic comes over to the car sales at Westbury car auctions empty and takes back insurance damaged cars to Northern Ireland for repair and resale . It will be interesting to see how the wolf fairs towing such a big vehicle as my trailer is identical to the one in the picture!

Hi Martin,

The 101 looks superb! What a great find.

I think the Wolf will be OK. Just be careful, balance the trailer right and you'll be fine.

Bet you can't wait to get it home!

Rgds,
Gordon

Morning Martin,

I'm back home on Wednesday for 4 weeks (weather permitting - it's a bit blowy out here at the moment).

Then it's the lightweight's MOT on Friday which i've got several body parts crossed for. I did a load of checks before I came away but sods law after standing for 4 weeks something will have happened.

Once I've got an MOT i'll be in touch.

Also let me know when you're going to be at Westbury collecting the 101 and i'll pop down and give a hand if i'm free.

Cheers,

Chris
