..in my defence it was half the price of the one you linked to in the other thread, and is in practically new condition. Apart from of course the numbers in permanent marker. Anyone know the paint colour or code for these? Unlike some it has the correct plug (should keep Clive happy) and the hook is still present.

To get the permanent marker off you could try a quick squirt of brake cleaner. I have removed black pen marks with Brake Cleaner before. The one I used was labelled under the WD40 brand name. I have also used it on numerous other cleaning jobs. Excellent stuff for removing grease and other paint repelling substances prior to a respray. One thing though. Don't go inhaling the fumes or using it in an enclosed space. Its noxious stuff to be honest and will knock you out and can give you a headache.
