I got given some webbing today

So today I got given five sets of OG PLCE webbing, some pouches and bergens.

However they did look like this

It's took an age to unblock the washing machine, but the ones I washed came out like this

They could do with braking down and redoing but it's a vast improvement.

I wonder if the dishwasher would work and not block if I do the rest in there instead???

Hiya Shaun! :D ,

The webbing has cleaned up nicely for it's wash. I hope you got the machine unblocked before the good lady saw it full of water. (Why is the filter/drain so low that you can't get anything under it? )

I don't know why, but I prefered the green PLCE to the DPM.

That was a nice thing to get. I prefer the green to the DPM as well, though I was never issued a set, I went straight from 58 to the DPM plastic stuff which I still had when I retired and handed in. I liked 58 pattern, but, I suppose it was heavy when it got wet, but, equally, once it had got wet on your body, it did start to fit rather well thereafter. I still have my 58 pattern stuff. You should receive an old NBC suit in the next couple of days, and so should Sidders!

Thanks Fred..Hi TW..well saved...I too take great pleasure in locating dirty, crusty webbing items and bungling up the WM...I then dry them in the sun..then dunk them in some OG dye solution...rinse and pack with bubble wrap and dry slowly in the shade...they come up like new and the stamp marks appear clearer...very satisfying.
