Hiya Fred! :D ,

No, the items are not navigational. Although not right, you have been closest with your posts so far.

Regards,
So specialist gear, not for the Recce and something for your collection?

Stamps, coins, batenberg recipes?

NOS set of headlamps and boxed set of IR lenses?
Cheers,
Gaz

We have a winner on one of the items. :D

A boxed Recieving Set, Infra-red, Binocular, No1 Mk1.

Well done Bob! :D

The other item is not unfortunately a pair of boxed IR lenses, or the box for a pair of lenses. It would be used in conjunction with the binos, but what could it be?

Note to self. Must stop buying IR binos. I've got nearly as many sets of them as Sid has SMG's.

Hiya Neil :D
Knowing you already have sets of these, whatever else it is must be important and rare and comes as a job lot with the receiving set otherwise there would be no point in buying so I'm going to say the test kit (hens teeth), a set of batteries and tubes.

I hate these silly guessing games

I hate them too mate.

The other item isn't as exotic as a test kit, far from it.

I put in a cheap bid for the pair of items not worried if I won them or not, and won. I do have a tube that I picked up a little while ago, which I will use to repair the broken binos I bought for spares.

I just can't seem to help myself, I keep bidding on these things when they have a low starting price. maybe its a cry for help.

Well done Bob! :D There is no stopping you on this one, you're on fire!

The other item in the box was indeed a 'Turtle' helmet.

I can't believe its been nearly thirty years since I last had one of these helmets in my possession. I guess I'd best start scrimming it up soon, can't have me wandering around shows with a shiny helmet on display now can we.
