Standalone Dexion

Post by andrewjsimpson1977 » Fri Feb 16, 2018 7:23 pm

Which is the correct type of dexion racking / brackets to fit into a GS, in order to mount a manpack? I'm not looking for a full URS table setup - just the racking.

To add a layer of complexity to the question - its for a 2a - so I'm assuming that the Larkspur era had its own variant.

Many thanks in advance,

Andy

Nearly all the Dexion (handy angle) available these days is for Defender and despite what some sellers state will not fit a Series vehicle as it's too short as Stu will well tell you.
The mountings you also have to be careful with as there are differing types. You would do well to look at Stu's rebuild to get an idea as to what I'm on about and he'll be able to give you the right length you require as I cannot remember what it should be.
And yes, the early stuff in 2A's had a slightly different lattice pattern to it - and you won't get that anywhere.

At this moment, this looks to be right but is missing the tub mounts but that shouldn't cause too much of an issue as they are fairly common.

Maybe worth a chance.

Let me know if you need me to measure anything or have any questions. I have spare uprights if you don’t have the correct one.
