British Army action painting

I remember seeing these hanging up in various antique & charity shops...wish i bought one.

I did have one but sold it in phase one of the big clear out.

But I was never allowed to display in the house as it was verbotten but strangely we have large numbers of pictures of horses that are considered perfectly acceptable decor.

Most of them will be copies. Usually the original will have been painted for a particular battalion and the original will still be in the officers' mess! A number, often signed and numbered, copies will then have been made available through regimental PRIs for luckless wives and girlfriends to receive for Christmas when their menfolk had run out of other ideas!
