Hi AJS...I'm afraid I refuse to acknowledge any 30th 40th or 50th anniversary Action Man items...in my mind it ruins the collector hobby...I was horrified when I saw on TV that Corgi had re released all they're vintage toy vehicles in the same style and packaging as the originals...to me..that is sacrilege.......it's the same with repro boxes for your old toys....the trouble is..after. Pa few years of wear..you won't be able to tell...and they have done the same with Action Man...I can tell the difference but only when it's in my hands..so it makes life difficult when buying on auction sites (am I babbling on). Anyhow..each to they're own.

Some additions to the arsenal....purely for your visual delight and a little trip down memory lane....(too cold to venture into the garage.)

Fascinating. Great models of their time. Do you remember the Airfix SLR and "Tommy Gun"? They were good, until the barrels broke off!

Hi Fred....(sorry to bore the regulars) I am a huge fan of vintage classic miltary toys..and the fabulous Airfix SLR is one of those toys that still alludes me...mostly due to the over inflated and greedy prices of dealers. It was in direct response to the 1964 release of the Topper toys "Johnny Seven gun" (or which I have many) ...I do have numerous other Cold War based army toys including "Remco" "Monkey Division" " Secret Sam" etc...to be honest..there are numerous classic toy releases in the military vein....I have many that are not "trendy" currently and some which are so rare and unknown to the general public that only devote collectors deal in such items..(shhh).

I look forward to the day when I can host a weekend event to showcase my museum of nostalgic artifacts to you blokes and wallow in our tearful memories of childhood adventures. One day guys....one day.

Has anybody else seen the latest Money Supermarket TV ad?? It features a whole group of Action Men and accessories, not to be missed. Full of action and super posing.
