Headlights

:?

My '73 s3 half ton sadly doesn't have the correct military headlights, and eBay would like me to sell a kidney and a lung to have a pair - just curious if anyone has any complete units, parts / anything to get my started towards getting mine back to mil spec?

TIA

Re: Getting rid of a Q plate

Well, mine was unregistered, so I had an easier job than removing a Q, however, to support my application, I sent in: Certificate of manufacture from british motor industry heritage trust Copy of the "B Card", which I got from the merlin archive Date in Service Certificate - Official (DISC...

Re: Dealer that will give me a fair price for my L/w??

I looked a while ago at some p/x options when I was lusting after a defender (thankfully I've gotten that out of my system). Very few dealers offer a fair price for the half ton, simply because it's a relatively niche thing in the land rover world. Ironically, the further away from traditional "...

Mini was quite quite popular in various services.

Reassuring is it's ability to cover 51 miles
Thanks for sharing - learn something new every day and all that! Will be on the look out for MOD mini now

Excuse my ignorance here, but spotted this one: mini 850 saloon (series x a2s1) (04FM98)

Is that a military issued mini?!

Re: Wiper Motor Wire Woes

Hello everyone. Does anyone have a wiper motor like this one? On the left of the picture, coming through the bulkhead grommet is a Light Green/Black cable that I think is not meant to come through here and perhaps goes to the washer motor? At the bottom centre is a Green/White cable that I am not s...

Re: alternator

Replacing alternator on old RAF Lightweight this afternoon , and managed to get all bolts out quite easily after taking off vehicle wing. But then found a bushing that the rear lower bolt goes through is preventing my lifting off the alternator. Don't want to risk damaging anything, and wondered if...

Welcome - I think you're at a quarter ton there, rather than a half ton :D
